  • QBWUSER>INI file will be right-clicked and then click on Delete/Rename option

At times, there is a possibility that the folder where you keep your company files becomes corrupted. It is known as the system issue. The steps are shown below:
  • To open Computer window, press Windows + E on your keyboard
  • You need to find out the data file that will have a .qbw extension file ( for example, mycompanyfile.qbw. Next step is to browse to the network drive on which data is located ( for e.g, X:\QBdata) while searching for a file that is located on a network server
  • Once the company file is found, right-click on it and select copy
  • Now, head to C:drive and create a new folder
  • Name that folder as QBTEST
  • New QBTEST will be opened and the company file will be pasted there
  • You need to open QB while holding the CTRL key simultaneously
  • Now, click open tab or Restore an existing company and go through C:\QBtest folder that you had created
  • Now, the company file that you had copied in the QBTEST folder will be opened
